It doesn’t seem that long ago that I was often getting 100+ performances each year, and now that’s totally changed. Hopefully there will be a gradual return to some sort of ‘normality’ (and I have a fair number of commissioned pieces waiting for performance, so things will get much busier once concerts start again) but for the time being my main activity is with recordings.
The CD of my guitar ensemble music is taking shape in Finland, with some sessions already in the bag and more to follow very soon. The disc of my piano music has been signed to the Divine Art label, and I’m waiting to hear back on funding applications – fingers crossed!
A nice surprise was to hear from a Japanese record label who are including ‘In Arcadia’ (sax and piano) on a new CD. It’s a bit of a mystery still as to who is playing this music, but the rest of the repertoire is a nice mix of old and new pieces. and it should be a great CD.
