Quatuor Ellipsos at Radio France

Many years ago I briefly jumped ship (stylistically) to write some pieces that were inspired by the contemporary tangos of the likes of Piazzolla. These works are still going strong, including a piece for sax quartet called ‘The Pale Dancer’. The Quatuor Ellipsos are stunning interpreters of this work, and their brilliant performance for French National Radio has just been posted online by France Musique. It’s the second movement, and as it’s a French quartet it’s easy to hear how it’s played with such panache, élan, and joie de vivre!! They bring a perfect energy and enthusiasm to the music

🙂 Thank you so much to my friends at the Quatuor Ellipsos, and to France Musique!!
